Namath, Brees, Favre Featured In NFL: The Grind Week One

Brees_Favre_(Maureen Granados)Premium television network EPIX® and NFL Films today announced its inaugural lineup for the weekly half-hour series NFL: The Grind, which premieres Wednesday, September 11 at 9pm eastern time. In addition to Rich Eisen’s final word on the week in football, the series premiere features “Broadway” Joe Namath as he checks in on the New York Jets running back Le’Veon Bell and quarterback Sam Darnold, plus Brett Favre visits Saints quarterback Drew Brees in New Orleans to share some advice about playing and winning past forty.

Upcoming contributors to the series also include Pro Football Hall of Famers Ed Reed, Charles Woodson, Jerry Rice, Jerome Bettis and Terrell Owens, along with legendary stars DeMarcus Ware, Chad Johnson, Clinton Portis and Michael Vick, all of whom will be on the road documenting some of the unique and never before told stories of coaches, players and personnel around the NFL.

Hosted by Rich Eisen, NFL: The Grind will run for 17 episodes throughout the entirety of the 2019 NFL season and will serve as both a weekly destination for the final word on the week in football, as well as an up close and personal, inside look at life in the NFL – on and off the field – across the endurance test that is the NFL season.
