Active NFL Players Host New SiriusXM Show

SiriusXM has signed multiple active NFL players to host a new entirely player-helmed show on its 24/7 SiriusXM NFL Radio channel. Miami Dolphins running back Alec Ingold, Pittsburgh Steelers receiver Allen Robinson and veteran tight end Colin Thompson serve as rotating hosts of The Players’ Point, which airs Tuesdays, an off day for NFL teams, from 7:00 – 8:00 pm ET.

The unique new program teams two of the players up each week to host their own show, conduct interviews and drive the weekly conversation from an active player’s perspective. Robinson, Ingold and Thompson are former participants in the NFL’s Broadcasting and Media Workshop, a program created by the league and run with the help of several veteran media executives and broadcasters, including those from SiriusXM, to help players develop careers in media.

“We’re really excited about the addition of The Players’ Point to SiriusXM NFL Radio,” said Eric Spitz, VP, Sports Programming for SiriusXM. “We’re bringing together active NFL players who combine talent and experience on the field with a terrific ability to communicate one-of-a-kind insights into the game. That produces excellent and exclusive content for our listeners, while also giving Alec, Allen and Colin invaluable experience in a live broadcast setting.”

“The opportunity to have active players and legends host their own show is exciting,” said Tracy Perlman, SVP of Football Operations with the NFL. “This will provide practical experience, live on the air. I look forward to hearing their perspective with exclusive content, fresh off of the field. We appreciate the collaboration with SiriusXM NFL Radio, and look forward to creating more exciting experiences like this for players.”

Allen Robinson was drafted out of Penn State in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars. He has played for the Jaguars, Bears and Rams and is in his first season with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Alec Ingold, who is a nominee for this year’s Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award, is in his second season with the Dolphins. He played his first three seasons in the league for the Raiders following his college career at Wisconsin. Colin Thompson played college ball at Temple and Florida, played for the Carolina Panthers in 2020 and 2021, and was with the Minnesota Vikings this pre-season.

On SiriusXM’s 24/7 SiriusXM NFL Radio channel, available on SiriusXM radio (channel 88) and on the SiriusXM app, fans get exceptional insight into the league 365 days a year. The channel features a lineup of exclusive shows hosted by a roster of current and former players, coaches, executives and insiders that is unrivaled in audio entertainment.
