TMRW Sports Announces Alex Morgan’s TRYBE Ventures As Lead Capital Partner In WTGL, New Women’s Team Golf League

TMRW Sports announced Trybe Ventures as the lead capital partner in WTGL, a new platform for team golf in partnership with the LPGA that features the world’s best women golfers. Trybe Ventures, co-founded by Alex Morgan, has brought together an investment group that includes business leaders and investors Linnea Roberts, Jenny Just, Susan Lyne, Jen Mackesy, Ellie Rubenstein and fellow U.S. soccer stars Mia Hamm and Abby Wambach. Preparing for a launch in winter 2026-27, WTGL will feature teams of LPGA Tour stars competing across a season of fast-paced, team match play from the custom-built SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.

“I’m so proud to bring this amazing group of women together to support and accelerate the growth of women’s golf. We all love the game and look forward to working together with TMRW Sports and the LPGA to build this innovative new property to showcase the best players in the world,” said Morgan, co-founder and managing partner, Trybe Ventures. “WTGL will create a global stage for us to get to know the stars of the LPGA in an exciting new way, and we cannot wait to tell their stories.”

“This strategic partnership with Trybe Ventures bolsters WTGL’s vision of elevating women’s sports as we create a modern, media-focused version of team golf that appeals to today’s sports fan,” said Mike McCarley, founder and CEO, TMRW Sports. “Since investing in TMRW Sports, Alex has been an advocate of our mission to create premium women’s sports properties, beginning with a women’s team golf format that showcases the LPGA Tour stars on a global stage.”

Trybe Ventures’ investment group in WTGL includes:

“Women’s golf is poised for meaningful acceleration. More women and girls than ever before are taking up the sport. Professional women golfers have the star power to attract new, younger and more socially engaged audiences and top-tier sponsorships,” said Linnea Roberts, founder and CEO of GingerBread Capital. “It’s important that women are at the forefront of this investment opportunity, which aligns with our mission of investing in women funders and founders. We are thrilled to be joining Trybe and an impressive group of women leaders as investors and fans in WTGL.”

As a showcase for the skill, personalities, and team spirit of the participating LPGA stars, WTGL will build upon the foundation of TGL presented by SoFi, which was described as a “high-energy arena spectacle” by Vanity Fair, “pure entertainment” by GQ, and “golf’s boldest new venture” by Fast Company. In addition to featuring foundational elements of TGL like mic’d up moments, risk-reward decisions and throwing the Hammer, WTGL will provide the same tech-driven platform with comprehensive shot performance data and statistics-based analytics built seamlessly into the competition.
