When four award-winning play-by-play announcers from the biggest sports teams in North Texas get together, it’s a notable event. In fact, it’s a rare opportunity and DFW’s four major radio play-by-play voices will be sharing the stage on Thursday, July 13th for Talk of the Town.

Eric Nadel (Texas Rangers), Chuck Cooperstein (Dallas Mavericks), Brad Sham (Dallas Cowboys), and Dave Strader (Dallas Stars) will share stories, answer questions from the audience, and help worthy causes as they each chose a charity that will benefit from this exceptional single event.

The Talk of the Town is the third annual event and is set to take place Thursday, July 13 from 7pm until 10pm, or, as the organizers note, “until they’re talked out.” It will be held at 3015 at Trinity Groves, 3015 Gulden Lane, Dallas, TX 75212.

Over the past two years this event has raised over $200,000 for five DFW charities, and the recipients of this year’s festivities include: Rays of Light; Dallas Stars Foundation; Focus on Teens; Scottish Rite Hospital for Children; and New Friends New Life.

The event will include a VIP reception, a sit-down dinner, a silent auction that will feature one-of-a-kind memorabilia, and a roundtable discussion with these four icons of sports announcing, all moderated by Fox Sports Southwest anchor John Rhadigan.

“Just getting two of these great announcers together for any special function is so challenging because of their diverse schedules,” said Rhadigan. “Having four in one room, willing to talk and answer questions is truly a one-time opportunity not to be missed for anyone who is a Dallas sports fan.”

Single tickets for this charity fundraiser are $500 with several options for larger sponsorships, including $5,000 League Leader Sponsor level that secures a table for 10.

Proceeds from this event will be evenly divided among the five charities and all donations are tax-deductible. For more information about Talk of the Town, visit thetalkofthetown.org or call 214-706-9535.
