MLB Network heads to Miami for all-access coverage of 2017 All-Star week

AS17_Primary_Event_Marks_RGBThe 2017 MLB All-Star Game presented by Mastercard at Miami’s Marlins Park is less than two weeks from today, and MLB Network has every angle covered, with the most comprehensive programming leading up to and throughout All-Star Week.

Following the announcement of the 2017 All-Stars on Sunday, July 2, MLB Tonight: All-Star Roster Review presented by Esurance will recap the American League and National League All-Stars on at 8:00 p.m. ET, and mark the beginning of the weeklong period where fans can vote to select the final player for each League’s 32-man roster. MLB Network will then exclusively announce the winners of the 2017 Esurance MLB All-Star Game Final Vote on MLB Tonight on Thursday, July 6 at 6:00 p.m. ET.

MLB Network’s live, on-site coverage of All-Star Week in Miami starts with the exclusive telecast of the SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game, featuring the top Minor League prospects competing in a contest as part of All-Star Sunday. MLB Network’s Matt Vasgersian, Mike Lowell and Heidi Watney will call the game with MLBPipeline.com prospect expert Jonathan Mayo on Sunday, July 9 at 4:00 p.m. ET.

Beginning on Monday, July 10, MLB Network will provide unparalleled on-field and behind-the-scenes access to the 88th Midsummer Classic, featuring interviews with American League and National League All-Star players, managers and coaches, plus celebrities, actors and musicians in town to take in the All-Star Week festivities. MLB Network’s lineup of on-air personalities in Miami will include Hall of Famer and eight-time All-Star Pedro Martinez, former Marlins All-Stars and World Series champions Al Leiter and Mike Lowell, three-time All-Star Sean Casey, Kevin Millar, two-time All-Star Harold Reynolds, Hall of Fame award-winning writer Peter Gammons, and hosts Greg Amsinger, Fran Charles, Brian Kenny, Chris Rose, Christopher Russo, Matt Vasgersian and Heidi Watney.

MLB Network will complement its on-air All-Star programming with extensive content across its social media platforms, including behind-the-scenes photos and moments with All-Stars and MLB Network personalities on Facebook Live, Instagram Live and Snapchat.

MLB Network will round out All-Star Week with its exclusive live telecast of the 30th annualTriple-A All-Star Game on Wednesday, July 12 at 9:00 p.m. ET from Cheney Stadium in Tacoma, Washington, with MLB Network’s Paul Severino, Bill Ripken and Michelle McMahon on the call with MLBPipeline.com prospect expert Jim Callis.
