New York City FC and ESPN Deportes Radio AM1050 to Bring Spanish-Language Game Coverage to NYC

New York City Football Club and ESPN Deportes Radio WEPN-AM 1050 are pleased to announce that all remaining 2019 Regular Season NYCFC games and all postseason play will air in Spanish on the ESPN App in conjunction with ESPN Deportes Radio 1050AM, beginning with tomorrow’s game – Saturday, April 13 when NYCFC takes on the Minnesota United at 5 p.m. ET, with the pre-game show starting at 4:30 p.m. ET.

All matches will stream live on the ESPN app, along with the iHeart and Tune-in apps. Select games will air locally on ESPN Deportes Radio 1050AM. Returning to the booth, commentators Roberto Abramowitz and Ariel Judas will give their commentary throughout the season with inside access from NYCFC training sessions. Abramowitz will serve as the play-by-play commentator while Judas will provide color analysis.

CEO of NYCFC, Brad Sims said, “We are excited to have our 2019 matches broadcast in Spanish on ESPN Deportes platforms. We want to give our fans many different ways to follow our Club and this is a terrific alliance that will make our games even more accessible.”

“The Hispanic community in New York is extremely passionate about soccer and is an integral part of our fanbase, so it continues to be a priority for us to provide Spanish-language presentations. ESPN is a leader in the sports media landscape and we’re looking forward to working together throughout the season.”

“We are proud to be associated with a tremendous brand like NYCFC on 1050 ESPN Deportes,” said ESPN Radio Group senior vice president Tim McCarthy. “We believe that giving our listeners a choice on quality play by play football has tremendous value and this agreement with NYCFC does just that.”
