Dynamic Sports Group, the athletic representation firm that was founded in 2019 by Las Vegas-based agent and attorney Cameron Weiss, has added hockey to its portfolio with the addition of former BUILT Sports agents Greg Lake and Joe Sofio.
Dynamic now represents athletes in professional football, baseball, soccer and hockey.
“We’re excited to add Greg and Joe to our roster as we introduce hockey here at Dynamic Sports,” said Weiss. “Greg and Joe bring nearly 30 years in sports representation with them and their experience in hockey is very exciting as we look to continue to grow and expand our agency and its offerings.”
Between them, Lake and Sofio represent more than 20 rising hockey players, and with their addition, Dynamic Sports Group’s roster has grown to feature more than 100 athletes across four major North American professional sports. Recently, DSG made headlines for negotiating Los Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler’s four-year, $24.5-million deal.
Lake brings 16 years of experience to Dynamic Sports, and besides his hockey background, he’s a certified contract advisor for both the National Football League and the Canadian Football League. The St. Catharines Ontario, Canada native played wide receiver at the University of Ottawa before embarking on his professional career. After graduating college, Lake worked in the music industry for eight years before transitioning to sports in 2004.
Sofio, who’s both an attorney and a NFLPA certified agent, began his career in sports representation 2007 after working in personal management, representing talent and corporations in television, film, radio, music and fashion. Sofio played collegiate lacrosse at Manhattanville College where he earned a degree in philosophy before earning his Juris Doctorate from Whittier College School of Law. He is a member of the State Bar of California. In addition to hockey and football, Sofio has represented athletes in lacrosse, soccer and action sports.
