American Flag Football League (AFFL), the preeminent flag football organization in the world, announced a multi-year agreement with CBS Sports, beginning with the 2021 season. Throughout the season, CBS Sports will showcase AFFL content across CBS Television Network and CBS Sports Network.
Coverage will begin in August with four live telecasts on CBS Sports Network, highlighted by the Men’s Final and the inaugural AFFL Women’s Division Final. The season will culminate with AFFL’s debut on CBS Television Network, a special 60-minute special broadcast highlighting the best moments from the 2021 season.
“The Flag Football community has been ready for their close-up for some time,” said Jeffrey Lewis, the AFFL’s CEO and Founder. “We appreciate CBS Sports giving us the opportunity to share the fast-paced, intense game of Flag with the widest possible audience.”
The American Flag Football League was founded in 2016, officially launched in 2017 and will be entering its third full season in 2021. Michael Vick, Chad Ochocinco, Terrell Owens, Vince Young and Danny Wuerffel have been among the thousands of players taking part in flag football at the highest level. AFFL’s mission is to build a worldwide community united by their shared values through the game of flag football, envisioning a time where the most joyous sport in the world will be the largest sport in the world.
