MSG Networks Announces Schedule of Weekly High School Football Games in N.Y., N.J.

MSG Networks last week announced a lineup of high school football games featuring some of the top high school football programs across New York and New Jersey. The schedule will include two weekend showcases and games airing live Fridays at 7pm ET and Saturdays at 1pm ET during the high school football season.

The network’s coverage began on Labor Day weekend with the Rumble on the Raritan, the Northeast high school football showcase that serves as the kick-off to the region’s high school football season. Starting on Friday, September 2nd, the event will consist of eight games over three consecutive days, which aired live from SHI Stadium on the campus of Rutgers University in Piscataway, New Jersey.

Play-by-play announcer Jimmy Cavallo will be on the call every week for each game airing on MSG Networks, alongside analyst and former NFL quarterback Matt Simms. Simms, who played three seasons with the Jets, was a former standout high school quarterback at Don Bosco Prep in New Jersey.

As part of the lineup, MSG Networks will also air the Battle for the Bridge, the annual high school football showcase being played at Rutgers’ SHI Stadium. The three-day event will feature matchups between prominent schools from New York, New Jersey, Maryland and Virginia, beginning on Friday, September 16th.

The other games being played throughout the season will air live from different high schools across New York and New Jersey. The games airing on MSG Networks each week will also be available to watch on MSG GO, the network’s live streaming and video on demand platform.
