MSG Networks today announced a month-long lineup of special programming in March to celebrate Women’s Empowerment Month, which will highlight the stories, contributions and lasting impact women have made across sports and culture in New York.

During its Women’s Empowerment Month initiative, MSG Networks will showcase the diversity and impact of women within the sports and media industry, with programming including:

Short-form content pieces spotlighting iconic women, such as Patsy Mink, Becky Hammon, Simone Biles and more, and will air during MSG Networks’ live games and across its digital platforms every evening.

Exclusive access to the Metropolitan Riveters, New York’s only professional women’s hockey team. MSG will repackage the recent match-up between the Riveters and the Boston Pride, as well as profile Riveter’s President Digit Murphy and interview players Madison Packer and Kelly Babstock.

In partnership with the New York Knicks, MSG Networks will highlight coverage of Unleashed NYC, a two-day summit beginning on March 24th.  Vanessa Bryant, wife of Knicks Associate Head Coach Johnnie Bryant, is the founder of Unleashed, a soul-fueling summit curated to refuel and restore the mind, body and soul of women. The event will include empowering speakers and events and a debut fashion show featuring designers Vanessa Noel, Ann Dexter-Jones and Ese Azénabor.

“Rise of the Wahine: Champions of Title IX,” a full-length feature documentary that details the triumphant story of the University of Hawaii women’s volleyball team in the early 1970’s, who went all the way to Congress to fight for gender equality and changed the course of women’s sports forever.

All Women’s Empowerment Month programming airing in March will also be available on MSG GO, the network’s live streaming and video on demand platform.
