All 64 matches will be televised live and exclusively in Spanish on Telemundo and Universo – airing 33 and 31 matches respectively – and stream live on Peacock.

Telemundo’s presentation marks the first time in U.S. television history the women’s competition is broadcasted in its entirety in Spanish and the most matches ever airing live on a U.S. broadcast network, regardless of language. In addition, the highly anticipated tournament this summer will be the first-ever Women’s World Cup on Peacock, the exclusive Spanish-language streaming home of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup™, which will stream every match live.

“As the exclusive Spanish-language home of FIFA and Team USA, we are thrilled to capture the excitement of this summer’s tournament across all our platforms,” said Eli Velazquez, Executive Vice President of Sports, Telemundo Deportes. “On the heels of a record-breaking Men’s World Cup in Qatar, our team is prepared to offer the most extensive coverage ever of a Women’s World Cup in Spanish-language media featuring the top sports commentary team in the industry ready to deliver the quality sports content our audience has come to expect.”

Coverage Plans and Production Preview: Most Extensive Spanish-Language Presentation Ever

Telemundo Deportes’ cross-continental production will feature extensive and far-reaching on-the-ground coverage across Australia and New Zealand. The network will have four main hosts for this event who will roam both countries as they follow Team USA on their attempt to make history as the first national team to win its 3rd consecutive championship title as well as the other most relevant teams for U.S. Hispanic audiences. Telemundo will deliver the most compelling and complete coverage on and off the pitch while showcasing the best of the host countries to the audiences we serve. In addition, Telemundo will deploy additional crews dedicated to ancillary content tailored specifically for digital and social media platforms.

Telemundo Center, the company’s state-of-the-art headquarters in Miami, will complement and enhance the network’s presence across the two host countries and live match coverage with studio shows, such as Zona Mixta, and original programming dedicated to the tournament. Studio interventions during the matches will include analysis and debates as well as pre-, halftime and post-game shows. Complete programming will be announced at a later date.

Marketing Campaign: “La Copa Es Nuestra / The Cup is Ours”

To elevate and celebrate women’s soccer, Telemundo launched its “La Copa Es Nuestra / The Cup is Ours” marketing campaign ahead of this year’s Women’s World Cup. The campaign honors the journey since the first Women’s World Cup in 1991 and celebrates how far women’s soccer has come thanks to the fearless female players who have fought for their rightful place in the sport.

In addition to serving as the exclusive U.S. home for Liga MX’s Chivas de Guadalajara home matches, the network offers comprehensive Spanish-language coverage of the Premier League. Beyond soccer, Telemundo Deportes will deliver again Spanish-language coverage of NFL’s Sunday Night Football this year, continuing the historic momentum from airing Super Bowl LVI, the most-watched NFL game in Spanish-language history and the decade’s highest-rated Spanish-language non-soccer sporting event.
