OffBall and TOGETHXR, two of the most dynamic and influential young media companies in sports, today announced a strategic and operational partnership in a shared push to scale and create innovative opportunities in sports. Following TOGETHXR’s equity investment in OffBall, the brands will work in tandem on sales, operations, and admin in a move that advances the companies’ unique growth strategies and the innovative potential of both organizations while generating opportunities to scale across two important and fast-growing areas in sports: women’s sports and sports culture.

“OffBall launched with a clear vision of building a modern media company and brand that leverages taste-driven, anti-algorithmic editorial and creative content to drive opportunities and create a meaningfully connected community, and that vision has proven out with brands and audience alike,” said OffBall co-founder and CEO Michaela Hammond. “Our partnership with TOGETHXR will enable us to take advantage of more opportunities with advertisers, pursue new lanes of revenue, and accelerate growth. We can’t wait to join forces and build an entirely new platform for brands to engage with in sports culture.”

OffBall — a creative studio and media company focused on the culture of sports — has seen significant growth and cultural influence since its founding in 2024. The brand has made a name for itself by bringing together and amplifying the voices of athletes, cultural leaders, brands, creators, and media. The brand has offered audiences a new, unapologetically optimistic, and carefully curated approach to engaging with the internet through its homepage, newsletters, social channels, and more, all of which is void of AI-driven content or clickbait headlines. To date, OffBall has executed branded programs with the likes of Nike, WhatsApp, and CashApp, launched an original content program with NBC News, collaborated with over 100 creators from across the sports culture landscape, and created its own IP in OffBall25. OffBall regularly connects creators, brands, and athletes to develop original, creative sports storytelling within the growing creator economy and alternative media ecosystem.

By joining forces with TOGETHXR, the fastest growing and most popular women’s sports media company of its kind, OffBall can continue expanding its reach and creative offerings in the sports culture space without raising additional capital or increasing its overhead. The strategic and operational partnership will enable both companies to tap into one another’s infrastructure and resources in order to broaden their content and expand their collective distribution.

“We’re focused on building the infrastructure advantage for where sports culture is going — not just adding reach. OffBall understands how creator-led storytelling and authentic athlete voices actually move audiences,” said TOGETHXR Executive Chair Nancy Dubuc. “Together, we’re creating a true ecosystem — where premium IP, creators, and brands connect in ways that are culturally relevant and commercially powerful. That’s how you turn audience passion into lasting enterprise value.”

Co-founded in 2021 by world-renowned athletes Alex Morgan, Sue Bird, Simone Manuel, Chloe Kim alongside sports media veteran Jessica Robertson, TOGETHXR was created to elevate women’s sports and fill a longstanding gap in coverage. Since then, the brand has attracted 4 million social media followers and more than 250,000 newsletter subscribers in addition to producing a diverse slate of content, including podcasts, documentaries, scripted and unscripted programming, and a book.

News of TOGETHXR’s partnership with OffBall comes on the heels of TOGETHXR announcing its equity investment in Sportsish, a female-founded media brand adding a pop-culture lens to the sports conversation through social media, newsletters, and podcasts. TOGETHXR’s partnerships with OffBall and Sportsish reflect a commitment to expanding its storytelling into broader sports culture in addition to its longtime focus on women’s sports.
