Today is Division II Day (#D2Day) across the NCAA, and one of its conferences chose the occasion to announce an enhancement to its digital network in advance of the women’s and men’s basketball tournaments next week. The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference, with schools in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Delaware, will produce a “Full Court Press” broadcast on its CACC Network, which airs original programming from its 13 member institutions, on Tuesday for the Quarterfinal round of both tournaments.
Similar to the NFL’s Redzone Channel and MLB Network’s Whip-Around show, the CACC Network will provide a pre-game show beginning at 5 p.m. ET, live look-ins at the eight games with start times between 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. ET, multiple games simultaneously and a nights-end recap of the day’s games.
The top four teams in the CACC’s North and South divisions will play on Tuesday, with the #1 and #2 seeds on each side hosting the #4 and #3 on the opposite side, respectively. All those winners then go to Thomas Jefferson University for the semifinals on Saturday, March 4 (women’s, noon and 2 p.m.; men’s, 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.) and Sunday, March 5 (women’s, noon; men’s 2:30 p.m.).
Final seeds and matchups for the women’s and men’s tournaments will be placed following action on Saturday, February 25. The semifinals and finals can also be streamed live or on demand on the CACC Network.
