World Long Drive Heads to La Salle, Colorado, Friday through Sunday

World Long Drive

World Long Drive will be a mile high as competition returns to Colorado for WLD La Salle, held at Big Foot Turf Farm from June 9-11 in La Salle, Colorado.

WLD La Salle, the fourth event of the year for the Open Division and third event for the Women’s Division and Senior Division, once again brings the world’s best to the grid. The Men’s Open Division features 22 of the top 24 players in the world.

Rookie Seb Twaddell is coming off his first career win after defeating Josh Koch in the finals at WLD Mesquite Volume II in May. Twaddell, the world record holder for fastest ball speed (240.8 MPH), hit the final ball of last month’s event 417 yards to become the first Australian to win a WLD Men’s Open Division event. The win lifted Twaddell from 66th to T-19th in the world rankings.

Monica Lieving, ranked No. 2 in the world, has dominated in the Women’s Division in 2023, winning the first two events of the year. Lieving hit a 350-yard drive in the finals to win in March (WLD Mesquite). She followed that with a 331-yard blast to capture the win in April (WLD Hobe Sound).

Women’s Division world No. 1 Devon Casazza and Open Division world No. 2 Martin Borgmeier both earned wins in Colorado in 2022.

WLD La Salle will be streamed live on the World Long Drive YouTube page.
