Netfish, an anglers’ portal for all things fishing, has announced a partnership with CarbonTV, allowing Netfish to stream episodes of CTV’s shows directly inside the app. Since the app’s mid-2017 (catch-and-?) release, fishing enthusiasts “…of all experience levels can come to learn, share, earn, and have fun,” according to parent company ReelSonar, Inc. director of marketing Jeff Hoefler.
“We launched Netfish TV as a curated video experience inside our app in November 2017, which users have loved,” added Hoefer in a statement. “With online video growing year over year, it was important to continue adding to our library of video content for Netfish users. The decision to partner with CarbonTV and gain access to more, great outdoor programming just made sense. Our advertisers want various ways to serve video content; this will add to our existing inventory in a meaningful way.”
From the announcement:
With the help of dynamic sonar data collected from iBobber—ReelSonar’s wireless fish finder—Netfish forecasts when and where fish will be active on over 50k waterways in the United States. The app’s user-base has been growing steadily since its release in mid-2017 thanks to this and a wealth of other features. As an ad-supported model, Netfish incentivizes users to share information such as equipment/brand preferences and retailer affinity. This data is then used for targeting purposes with advertisers. ReelSonar continues to innovate new methods of collecting voluntary consumer data in Netfish.
Anglers can download Netfish on iOS and Android for free.
