The Sports Circus, a fast-paced and entertaining sports talk show based in Las Vegas, just extended its national footprint coverage onto KHKA AM 1500 Honolulu. The addition of KHKA AM 1500 radio is an excellent fit for The Sports Circus as it is the “go to” station for NBC Sports Radio programming throughout the Hawaiian Islands in a market that boasts a population of over 1,000,000 potential listeners. The Sports Circus will occupy the highly coveted broadcasting slot, Monday through Friday, 2-3 p.m., starting this week.
The Sports Circus can be unpredictable at times because it is live due to listener participation. It features most any and all sports reports by leading professionals. There are Collegiate and High School report highlights as well. Special Guest interviews with world champions in the professional sporting world appear on the Sports Circus airwaves every week. Among these icons have been: Leigh Steinberg, the Godfather of all Sports Agents, 4-time Super Bowl champion and coaching legend Tom Flores, NFL Defensive Tackle and iconic sports talk show host, Mike Golic, NBA Hall of Fame legend, Rick Barry, Mayor of Las Vegas, Carolyn Goodman, plus many more. You can expect high caliber guests and championship analyses each and every week on The Sports Circus. For a complete list of previous and upcoming guests you may visit www.thesportscircus.com
The Sports Circus is hosted by the Ringmaster Sal Tuzzolino. As a former baseball player and sports and entertainment executive behind the scenes, Sal can keep you entertained for hours with comedy and drill-down, intriguing content. He is a sports lover’s best friend.
Tuzzolino stated: “There is as strong connection between the 9th Island of Hawaii (Las Vegas) and the islands. There are over 200,000 Hawaiians here in Vegas. We can now drive Hawaiian content to our locals and to those in the islands that already stream our show over in Hawaii from our website. Now they can listen in on KHKA AM 1500 and participate with us! Soon we’ll be featuring local student-athletes and talking prep and college sports with them on-air. We’re also going to feature a ‘Surf Report’ for key surf sports throughout Hawaii and SoCal for all those surf rats traveling throughout those coverage areas.
“The Sports Circus rolled into Hawaii on a giant wave of show expansion for our nationally-syndicated radio show, now airing from Hawaii, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Chicago, and extending all the way to New York. Our large audience base tunes in on iHeartRADIO, NBC News and Sports and Westwood One News radio station affiliates. With website traffic of well over 3,200,000 per month, we are certainly doing something right. Remember, we’re a circus and prove it every day!”
