Bob Glauber is the president of the Pro Football Writers of America and has been Newsday’s NFL columnist since 1992. Before that, he covered the Giants for Gannett and chronicled the team’s first two Super Bowl championships. He was selected as the NY State Sportswriter of the Year in 2011 and 2015 by the National Sports Media Association. His new book, Guts and Genius: The Story of Three Unlikely Coaches Who Came to Dominate the NFL in the ’80s, details the success of three football legends – Bill Walsh, Joe Gibbs, and Bill Parcells – who developed some of the most gifted players of all time while leading their teams to a combined eight Super Bowl victories. - Hank Gola is the author of City of Champions: an American Story of Leather Helmets, Iron Wills, and the High School Kids from Jersey Who Won It All. The game played on Christmas night 1939, featured two vastly different high school teams from Garfield and Miami. The story of this national championship game also presents a portrait of America amid the looming clouds of WWII.
