The SiriusXM NBA Radio channel will re-air two classic NBA Finals games tonight that celebrate standout performances from three of the stars of the 2020 Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame class – Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett.
Tonight, April 8, at 7:00 pm ET/4:00 pm PT, listeners will hear a rebroadcast of Game 1 of the 1999 NBA Finals in which Duncan, making his first career appearance in a Finals game, racked up 33 points and 16 rebounds to lead the Spurs to victory against the Knicks.
Then at 10:00 pm ET/7:00 pm PT, SiriusXM will re-air Game 1 of the 2008 NBA Finals, featuring Kevin Garnett and the Celtics facing off against and Kobe Bryant and the Lakers. This was Boston’s first Finals appearance since losing a six-game series to the Lakers in 1987. Bryant would score 24 points to lead L.A., but Garnett’s 24-point/13-rebound performance helped lift the Celtics to a Game 1 win.
Kobe Bryant, an 18-time NBA All-Star and five-time NBA champion, Tim Duncan, a 15-time NBA All-Star and three-time NBA Finals MVP, and Kevin Garnett, a 15-time NBA All-Star and nine-time NBA All-Defensive First Team selection, were among the nine honorees in the Class of 2020 announced last week by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
SiriusXM NBA Radio is available to subscribers nationwide with the SiriusXM All Access package on SiriusXM radios (XM channel 86 and Sirius channel 207), on the SiriusXM app, and at home on a variety of connected devices.
