Aggregate Sports has announced an exclusive sales representation agreement with Ring City USA, a leading boxing sports media platform that debuted its Thursday night boxing series in November 2020 on NBC Sports Network and Twitch.
Under the new partnership, Aggregate Sports will generate multiplatform sponsorship and media revenue for the series and their live event broadcasts through 2022.
“Ring City USA has created an authentic model for the sport of boxing, where match-ups are competitive and the stories behind the fighters are compelling, and we believe that will be refreshing for sponsors who have traditionally supported the sport as well as new ones who may have been hesitant to jump on board the promoter-heavy model.” said Rem de Rohan, Chief Revenue Officer for Aggregate Sports. “It’s more fun to watch when the odds are competitive.”
In 2021, NBC Sports Network will televise 14 live Ring City USA broadcasts featuring more than 42 bouts total. Coverage begins March 4 at the Felix Pagan Pintor Gym in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, and will continue with two additional stops on the island on March 18 and 25. Following the initial three-event run in Puerto Rico, the Thursday night boxing series will deliver subsequent events at key cultural and nostalgic locations for the sport of boxing through the end of 2021.
“The first-class storytelling that the team at Ring City USA has proven capable of since their launch really adds to the depth of relationships that we can create with brands, and we’re finding that more and more important as the sports sponsorship landscape evolves,” added Aggregate Sports CEO, Chris Pearlman. “We’re also thrilled that equity for women’s boxing is a key commitment of their organization.”
Ring City USA’s brand partnership offering encompasses a host of multiplatform assets, including intellectual property rights, on-site activations and VIP hospitality, digital, print, and social extensions, commercial media inventory and in-telecast enhancements for more than 28 hours of live competition programming on NBC Sports Network in 2021
“Aggregate Sports has a proven track record in our industry, and we were attracted to the fact that Chris, Rem and their team have worked closely with UFC, Bellator, and the Mexican National team, to name a few,” said Frank Samuel, CEO of Ring City USA. “Their experience with those sports entities resonate strongly with us and show the depth and knowledge they bring in understanding the values that appeal to brands and sponsors who want authentic, year-long engagement, not pop-up one night stands.”
