Ram Tough! MSG Networks to Telecast Fordham University Baseball and Softball this Spring

Fordham Athletics

Fordham baseball is one of the most storied programs in the nation, claiming the most victories by any college (more than 4500!) and playing in the first nine-on-nine collegiate contest in history, back in 1859. And while the softball program started nearly 150 years later, its had its share of success, winning numerous Atlantic 10 titles and advancing to the NCAAs. (Full disclosure: the author is unabashedly proudly Class of 1991.)

Those two programs will be on display for all of New York this spring as MSG Networks announced a 20-game schedule featuring the Rams baseball and softball nines across MSG and MSGSN.

“MSG Networks is one the most well-known and respected sports networks in the country, and to be able to showcase our games on MSG is great for our program and our university,” said Athletic Director Ed Kull in a statement. “The Fordham baseball and softball teams are hidden gems in the loaded New York sports landscape. We’re proud to have the winningest program in the history of college baseball our stellar softball team featured on MSG, and perhaps growing our relationship with the networks in the future.”

“We welcome Fordham University men’s baseball and women’s softball to our unmatched slate of New York area sports,” said Armando Polanco, Vice President, Content Distribution, MSG Networks. “This is another great opportunity to showcase exciting local sports for all area fans to enjoy.”
