America’s Boating Channel™, the U.S. Coast Guard funded boating safety and boater education video service, produced by United States Power Squadrons® (USPS), has entered into an agreement with the Water Solutions Group (WSG) to include five WSG safe boating videos in America’s Boating Channel’s new smart TV offerings.

The announcement was made by America’s Boating Channel’s Vice President of Business Development, Kathy Strachan, and Jessica Brockett, Water Solutions Group’s Executive Director.

“The Water Solutions Group Campaign, “Rental Boat Safety,” has produced videos with a unique focus on education and training for renting various types of powerboats – from houseboats to personal watercraft – as well as canoes, kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards. The videos help renters choose the right boats for their needs to ensure a safe and fun boating experience,” said Kathy Strachan.

Jessica Brockett added, “WSG and Rental Boat Safety are proud to partner with America’s Boating Channel to feature our boating safety video library. By making these videos available on America’s Boating Channel’s smart TV offerings, we are ensuring that they are easily accessible to a wider audience of boat renters. We believe that providing this educational content is crucial to improve recreational boating safety nationwide by increasing knowledge and awareness of safe boating practices. Our goal is to ensure that every boater has the knowledge and skills needed to enjoy their time on the water safely and responsibly.”

Strachan concluded, “America’s Boating Channel’s expansion from online and social media delivery of boating safety and boating education videos is now underway. We’re on track to become the first full-time television presence focused exclusively on boaters, with boating lifestyle, sports, news, and entertainment genres of TV programming. Both the America’s Boating Channel smart TV on-demand app and linear video channel will publicly launch in April.”
