America’s Boating Channel™ is now releasing still photos taken during production of “ELECTRONIC VISUAL DISTRESS SIGNALS,” its ninth Season Six boating safety and boater education video.
Every Friday morning at 9:00 AM Eastern Standard Time (EST), a new behind-the-scenes album for a Season Six video debuts on America’s Boating Channel’s Facebook page.
This week, the “ELECTRONIC VISUAL DISTRESS SIGNALS” video will be highlighted concurrently on AmericasBoatingChannel.com, America’s Boating Channel on YouTube, and across online social media.
“ELECTRONIC VISUAL DISTRESS SIGNALS” covers alternatives to pyrotechnic devices. Viewers will learn the operation and maintenance of nighttime-approved visual-distress signal lights used in conjunction with daytime distress-flags. Also featured are the newly approved dual color signal lights.
The video features members of the Lake Murray Power Squadron and Tybee Light Sail & Power Squadron coordinated by squadron field producers David Allen and Charlie Saytanides.
America’s Boating Channel’s sixth season of videos, which premiered throughout the 2022 boating season, includes “FIRE EXTINGUISHER REGULATIONS,” “DEFENSIVE BOATING,” “DIGITAL CHARTS AND VIRTUAL ATONS,” “COMMERCIAL TRAFFIC,” “TRAILERING A BOAT,” “LIFE JACKET WEAR,” “BOAT OPERATOR RESPONSIBILITIES,” “NAVIGATING INLETS,” “ELECTRONIC VISUAL DISTRESS SIGNALS,” and “CAPACITY COMPLIANCE.”
On Friday November 25, America’s Boating Channel will publicly launch its new “INLET DRONE VIDEOS” service offering that will feature narrated aerial coverage to help recreational boaters prepare for their first sorties through specific U.S. high-traffic waterway entrances. The first three inlets to be covered in the new series will be Cape Fear, NC; Haulover Inlet, FL; and Columbia River Bar, OR/WA, which will launch Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of Thanksgiving Weekend.
