Henni Zuel, the former Ladies European Tour professional and experienced tournament broadcaster, has joined GOLFTV to spearhead the streaming service’s tour-player coverage.
An established fan favorite for her expert insights and coverage of the game, Zuel will be taking fans on course and behind the scenes exclusively for GOLFTV. As Lead Tour Correspondent, she will bring global fans closer to the best action, biggest stories and top players of the day.
As part of GOLFTV’s exclusive content partnership with Tiger Woods, Zuel will be working with the 80-time PGA TOUR winner and 14-time major champion on tour and off. Among other things, this will include daily hits with Tiger during tournament weeks, practice-round coverage and behind-the-scenes interactions between Tiger and his team.
Henni Zuel, Lead Tour Correspondent, GOLFTV, said: “Golf is my passion and has been a central part of my life from an early age, from learning the game to joining the Ladies European Tour to telling the stories of golf’s biggest events to fans at home. I can’t wait to get out on the course for GOLFTV, bringing fans closer to the action and offering the exclusive access I know they love.
“When I saw the global vision and scale of GOLFTV, I knew I had to be a part of it. Bringing Tiger Woods on board was a huge sign of intent and I’m excited to play my part to share his exclusive story with golf fans everywhere.”
Tiger Woods, an exclusive content partner with GOLFTV, commented: “I’ve been really gratified by the reaction of the fans to my first content on GOLFTV. Discovery has done an amazing job to establish this global digital platform and it’s been so exciting to have GOLFTV to talk directly to golf fans everywhere.
“I’m looking forward to working with Henni and the team to share more exclusive access to my preparations and thoughts during tournament weeks.”
Alex Kaplan, President and General Manager, Discovery Golf, said: “Discovery has a long heritage of working with the most accomplished, knowledgeable and expert talent who bring content to life that powers people’s passions. Henni is a perfect fit in this regard and will help GOLFTV tell the biggest and best exclusive stories from the professional tours to golf fans everywhere.
“We’re thrilled with our first Tiger content. Having Henni’s expertise to help capture his experiences and reactions from the TOUR will be invaluable.”
Zuel, who enjoyed a successful career on the Ladies European Tour and became the youngest player to join that tour as a 13-year-old amateur, is a familiar face to the international golf audience. She began her broadcast career for the PGA TOUR’s broadcast partner in the United Kingdom, Sky Sports, in 2015 and has been part of the broadcaster’s award-winning golf coverage since then, including during the Ryder Cup and golf’s majors.
Zuel joins the GOLFTV team at this week’s Genesis Open at the Riviera Country Club, California.
