Between now and the start of the 2020 NFL season, SiriusXM’s exclusive 24/7 NFL channel – SiriusXM NFL Radio – is embarking on a “virtual” NFL Training Camp Tour that will give listeners around the country an unparalleled and in-depth look at their favorite teams and players as they prepare for the coming season.
SiriusXM NFL Radio’s annual tour will again consist of 32 shows, each two to three hours in length and focused entirely on one of the NFL’s 32 franchises. With the COVID-19 pandemic limiting access to team training camps this preseason, SiriusXM’s hosts will utilize video conferencing to conduct one-on-one interviews with many players, coaches and franchise executives. SiriusXM’s experts will provide listeners with an insider’s perspective on team rosters and the performances of veteran and rookie players.
Listeners will get exclusive insights from a team of SiriusXM NFL Radio hosts on the tour that features many former NFL team executives, coaches and players. These include Hall of Fame members Gil Brandt, Bill Polian and James Lofton, as well as Erik Coleman, Charles Davis, David Diehl, Bruce Gradkowski, Brad Hopkins, Pat Kirwan, Ed McCaffrey, Jim Miller, Kirk Morrison, Brady Quinn, Charlie Weis and Solomon Wilcots.
The 2020 tour begins today, when Wilcots and former Broncos receiver McCaffrey host a show dedicated to the Denver Broncos, airing 8:00 – 10:00 am ET, and again at 7:00 – 9:00 pm ET. On Thursday, August 13, Bruce Murray and Gradkowski provide their listeners with an inside look at the Minnesota Vikings from 12:00 – 3:00 pm ET.
“Like all NFL fans we look excitedly ahead to the 2020 NFL season, and even amid these very unique circumstances in which teams are reporting to camp, we remain dedicated to giving our listeners the most in-depth and comprehensive preseason preview of their favorite teams,” said Steve Cohen, SiriusXM’s SVP of Sports Programming. “Our hosts will connect with coaches, executives and players via video conference for conversations about what’s happening on the field and in the meeting rooms, and our experts – which include some of the most knowledgeable and well-connected people covering the game today – will deliver a level of analysis on teams and players that you can’t get anywhere else.”
