Seth Jones Named Caldwell University Head Volleyball Coach

Seth Jones

Seth Jones, a 2022 graduate of Montclair State University and Colonia, N.J., native, has been named Caldwell University Head Volleyball Coach, it was announced today by Mark A. Corino, Assistant Vice President and Director of Athletics.

Jones has strong ties to the New Jersey volleyball scene. He has served as assistant women’s volleyball coach at Union College as well as assistant boys coach at Colonia High School, freshman girls coach at Saint John Vianney High School in Holmdel and lead coach/clinician at Garden State Attack volleyball Club in Freehold.

“I’m excited to get started right away in working with the returning student-athletes as well as bringing new ones to Caldwell University,” said Jones. “I look forward to the challenge of returning the program to the top of the CACC.”

“We were impressed with Seth’s enthusiasm and demonstrated ability across various coaching levels,” said Corino. “We are confident he will be a great fit here and we are pleased to have him leading the volleyball program.”

Jones played varsity volleyball at St. Joseph (Metuchen) HS, graduating in 2017.

Jones succeeds Hector Colon, who resigned in November following his second year at the helm.

Jones, 26, who also serves as a substitute teacher in the state, was a communication and media arts major at MSU, with a concentration in television and digital media. He lives in Colonia.
